Today we provided a response to the Tasmanian Planning Policies Scoping Paper recommending the inclusion of social and affordable housing and the recognition of the potential harmful impacts of the short stay accommodation sector on the residential rental market.

There are at least 45,000 rental properties in Tasmania which do not meet healthy energy efficiency ratings. Together with TasCOSS and a number of other community organisations we are calling on the State Government to commit to implementing minimum energy efficiency standards for all rental properties.
