Rents Fall in June Quarter (but that’s what they usually do)
Tasmanian rents fell in all regions in the June quarter according to data collected from the Rental Deposit Authority. The 1.9% fall in Tasmanian rent in June is consistent with previous years where the statistics show rents fall in June following rises in March. The largest fall in regional rent occurred in the North (down 4.2%) while rents in the South and North West fell moderately (down 1.4% and down 0.4% respectively). The full issue of Tasmanian Rents, which includes more detailed suburb and town stats is available in our Publications section now.
