Tenants' Union of Tasmania

About Us

The Tenants' Union of Tasmania Inc. is a not for profit community organisation offering free services including tenancy advice, advocacy and referrals. We also offer free community legal education and training in issues relating to tenancy.

The telephone advice line, client advocacy and support services are supported by the Tasmanian State Government through grants administered by Housing Tasmania, Department of Health and Human Services.

The Tenants' Union is an incorporated body managed by an elected Management Committee, and staffed by employees and volunteers.

A Commonwealth grant provided bt the Attorney General's Department and administered by the Legal Aid Commission of Tasmania funds our community legal education and training programs.

The Tenants' Union is a member of the National Association of Tenant Organisations (NATO), National Association of Community Legal Centres (NACLC), International Union of Tenants (IUT), Tasmanian Association of Community Legal Centres (TACLC), Shelter Tasmania and TasCOSS.
